Diwa
I’m a Sacramento-based artist who was born in San Francisco and raised in Vallejo. I’ve been a visual artist my whole life but got into mural work in 2026 due to job loss and economic hardship. The first mural I was commissioned for (by a soul food restaurant called Bay & Rue in Sacramento’s Del Paso Heights) not only saved me from eviction, it opened a whole new world for me.
I was given full creative freedom with a few prompts from the restaurant owners and since completing it, the mural has attracted waves of attention, interest, and business for the restaurant. I’m proud of my debut in this mural scene, the visions I bring to life through art, and the community connections I make along the way.
